Who Wins The CAF Award Today: Salah, Mane, Or Aubameyang?

The CAF awards will take place today in Accra, Ghana. It is the first to be sponsored by oil and gas giant, Aiteo. Two Nigerians have been nominated; Asisat Oshoala and Gernot Rohr. The highlight of the awards is usually the presentation of the African player of the year(male). This year, there are three major contenders; Sadio Mane of Senegal, Emerrick Aubameyang of Gabon, and Mohamed Salah of Egypt. Mane is a 25 year-old who plays as a forward/winger for Liverpool football club in the English Premier league. Since joining Liverpool in 2016, he has scored a total of 38 goals in 105 appearances. Aubameyang is a 28 year-old French-born Gabonese footballer, who plays for Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga. Aubameyang was the 2016/2017 season Bundesliga’s highest goal scorer with 31 goal. In the 2017/2018 season, he has already scored 22 goals in 27 appearances for Dortmund. Salah is a 25-year-old Egyptian footballer who plays as a winger/forward for Liverpool. Before joining Liverpool, he had played for Chelsea, Fiorentina and Roma. Salah has been terrific this season, scoring several goals. he is currently the second highest goal scorer, behind Harry Kane of Tottenham.
